After my brother recommended this series to me I had to ask why. 25,000 words for $2.99 is silly. I like the story but as I continue the series I find the majority of the 'novella' is dedicated to precise descriptions of training excercises rather than moving the plot forward. After spending twelve bucks on several hours of reading and finishing the fourth installment I felt disappointed and ripped off. This series is supposed to be "100's of novella's"? So I'm gonna spend $600 to read a sci-fi story? The writing works and the story has potential but I don't think it's a proper investment. Take the last two letters off 'novella' and I'll read it. Hint: Make it a novel.

Star Force Trailblazer SF4 eBook Aerki Jyr Reviews

This writer is new to me but, is very good at writing Sci-Fi. I have read 18 of the books in this series and they are all very entertaining. The only con I have is that each book is small, I think somewhere in the 80 to 150 page range (give or take) so, they don't take a lot of time to read and at $3.00 each they are a little more expensive than most of us are use to. The writer has stated that he is expecting to write 100 of the Star Force books so in the long run it's going to add up. You be the judge, personally I'm hooked and will more than likely buy the whole series. Enjoy!
somewhat simple in plotting and lacks a serious connection to the backgound threat to earth but it carries the philosophy of what is good for General Bull moose through out
I would skip this book,as well as book 2 and 3, they have have 5 % interesting content and the the rest repeats over and over in detail their daily training regime to the point of nausea.
Luckily I have kindle unlimited, or i would be angry at wasting my money, and that's the only way to read this series, the book length is 5x shorter than other books charging the same or less.

Im on book 9 and at this point. I have a love hate with this series, its extremely boring 80%- 90% of the time where ill skip 50-100 pages because its repetitious unimaginative dribble, Im not sure if ill continue reading much more..im getting more frustrated by this Halo type writing (seems thats where is insights come from) that is unimaginative.... time will tell
Enjoy each one of these little serials, sorta like watching a serialized TV show. Now have to add two more words.
This series is kind of fun. There is nothing special in them however. The up side is also the down side, they are short which makes for a quick and easy book. At the same time, they are short, so you end up with a never ending series, which are cheap but they nickel and dime you to death.
If you like military SF, this one is on the same level of all the best; probably better for the plot and leading characters keep evolving, keeping you hooked up. I've read all the books in little less than 4 weeks. Just finished Apex. Simply the best series i've read in the last 5 years. The other reviews complain about the pace of the series. Do not be fooled. It is just insane the speed it goes on. The autor is building his universe, and what a universe it is.
Congrats Are-ki Jyr!!!
Masterfully written.
I was looking for a fun story, but all that's here is a recap of military training. Tried several of the series, but they were just a continuation of the same--boring, very thin plot, blah characters. Waste of money.
